Meet the coach

Alex Pederson is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). Her career in dog training began when she managed a dog training facility, overseeing a team of dog trainers and up to 36 dogs at a given time. This experience allowed her to work with hundreds of dogs over the course of her time there, learning about different breeds and behaviors and fine tuning her skills. Meanwhile, Alex was spending her free time working through her own dog's reactivity and aggression towards people. Seeing the progress she made using rewards-based methods inspired her to want to help others do the same. In 2022, after receiving her CPDT-KA certification, she started Cult of Dogs order to help people help their dogs.

Alex earned her certificate in dog aggression from Michael Shikashio's renowned Aggression In Dogs Master Course, and a certificate in separation anxiety from Moira Hechenleitner DVM's comprehensive separation anxiety course. She has also completed coursework in BAT (Behavior Adjustment Training), a system for helping reactive dogs.

Alex is passionate about continuing her education and staying up to date on the latest techniques and advancements in dogs training. She excels at translating complex ideas into practical tips for dog parents.
